9:45 AM: Zen Shin Sangha:
Autumn of 2026, what have we harvested? Have we harvested knowledge or wisdom about life, about illusions? Let’s take a few minutes this morning for contemplation and self-reflection with quiet sitting and sutra recitations. Make this Sunday morning a time of calm in mind and body. Let us focus on the present moment revealing our profound connection to all beings. With this calmness we are more prepared to hear the Buddha Dharma shared in the Shin Buddhist service to follow. All levels, including beginners, and families. Children always welcome at all services.

- October Memorial Service: Expressing gratitude to our ancestors who passed away in the month of October. To include the name of an ancestor or friend who passed away in the month of September, please record the information on the Green Clipboard no later than 10:15 AM on the day of the service.
After the Service?
The tradition of the CBT Sangha is to share coffee and cake after the service and to celebrate our Sangha’s October birthdays.
If you can stay a while, we’ll discuss a short reading and how it may relate to making our life a bit easier. Handouts of text provided. Stay as long or as short as you wish.
What happens at a gathering?
We gather as an informal group. We may do sitting meditation, chanting meditation, recitations, pay respect to those who have gone before us, to one another and the Buddha Dharma (the teachings). The Sangha, one of the three treasures of Buddhism, gives us community and time to understand how Buddhism works in our daily lives. We may share our thoughts, experiences or not.
What does not happen?
We do not worship, we do not have petitionary prayer, nor do we have rules or regulations to judge us from one another.

- Our gathering includes the name of those who have passed before us. To include the name of a loved one or friend, please email Rev. Anita.
- Please contact Rev. Anita for visits to assisted living, nursing homes or hospitals for those who cannot attend the service.
